Norman H was born 17 February 1964,in Park Royal North-West London NW10.Growing up in Perivale,Middlesex,he grew up with two main loves which were music and football supporting Queens Park Rangers. At the turn of 1991 Norman was approached by indie dance outfit Jesus Jones and asked if he would join the band on their imminent European Tour as their support DJ. JESUS JONES ACCESS ALL AREAS EUROPEAN TOUR 1991 Destinations: Oslo,Malmo,Gothenburg,Stockholm,Copenhagen, Frankfurt,Hamburg,Munich,Berlin,Stuttgart,Brussels, Vienna,Milan,Zurich,The Hague,Rotterdam,Amsterdam, Lille,Paris,and London at the Brixton Academy (alongside Blur). In 1993 Norman moved to Essex coastal resort of Southend-On-Sea and began working at Vinyl Rhythm Records where he still is today.He helped set up Coldtap Recordings and his night Stripped in late 1999.The Stripped night also teamed up with one of the legends of UK clubnights Renaissance on a couple of occasions.Norman to play alongside the likes of Danny Howells,Parks & Wilson,Cass,Anthony Pappa,Nigel Dawson,Ian Ossia,Andry Nalin,Marc Auerbach and Jon Pleased Wimmin amongst others.Plus a glowing review in DJ Magazine (Feb 2004) made promoters take a bit more interest. The aim now for Norman is to continue the success of the label Coldtap where he has been able to put his ideas to vinyl as Stripped Inc,Liquid Audio (with partner Gary Dubbs) and just lately he has gone into partnership with two more locals Steve Tempo to form Peroxide Metropolis and Lee Neilson.His new project Stripped Label Management (which launched in Summer 2005) is his new label management company and looks after new labels Stripped Recordings,Stripped Digital,Hypemuzik,Hype Recordings,and Blend Recordings with friends and producers Steve Tempo (Peroxide Metropolis) and Mark Farnsworth (Zaitsev).With tracks already signed to compilations from Renaissance,Markus Schultz,Andrew K (2 comps),plus a world wide tour to promote the labels over the next 18 months under his new banner means these are to be busy times indeed for Norman H.After securing tracks from some of the scenes most respected producers such as Kosmas Epsilon,Nikola Gala.Phil Thompson aka Moonface and Perc.Stripped took up a monthlyresidency from at Londons Medicine Bar in Aug 04,then moved too T2 Turnmills again on a Thursady night. With guests such as James Zabiela,James Holden,Phil Thompson,Cass & Paolo Mojo,and The MFA live,Jonathan Lisle,and Desyn Masiello Lexicon Avenue,Chris Salt,Aiden Lavelle,Demi and Chris Fortier all playing guest slots. Norman then in 2005 toured around the globe with destination such as Bali,Singapore (where Stripped held 6 well recieved parties),Thailand,USA and Panama.If asked to describe his style he would say it is across the board always with a progressive feel. Now into 2006 the night has had a couple of great nights in London @ Medicine bar and Ministry Of Sound's Baby Box alongside Sander Kleinenberg's Everybody night. Norman is hard at work with the Label Mangement and more Stripped dates around the world.With a tour of duty starting in September 2006.October will celebrate STRIPPED's 7th Anniverary with a Party In London.details which doubled as the Official Aftershow Party for the world famous band New Order with guitarist Peter Hook performing on the decks. 2007 sees an expansion of the label management operations and STRIPPED parties in London and at home in Southend plus a World Tour for STRIPPED with Norman H at the helm.
